Art History Club
The Hillsdale College Art History Club is an association founded upon the understanding of fine art, in the classical sense, as the aesthetic manifestation of our Western heritage. At the same time, the group recognizes the study of non-Western and modern art as an essential component to this understanding, as well as a good unto itself. Members of the group are required, as a prerequisite, to have taken the College's introductory Art History courses, Art 203 or Art 204. Once members, students are invited to take an active part in the organization's activities, including periodical trips to local galleries and exhibits, tutoring of other students in art history courses, and monthly meetings to discuss and analyze art.
